As a Professional Baby Planner, at Hatch Baby Planners, LLC. I have seen the overwhelming looks on parents-to-be when they enter the baby store to start on their registry. The common questions are: Where do you start? What is a necessity? What is just hype? I saw a need to have all the essential baby items in one place, without the fluff of the non-essentials.
Hatch Baby Essentials is just that - the essentials only. Each item is hand selected for the health and safety of your baby. All of my products are eco-friendly and safe for your child. As a Non-Toxic Home and Baby Care educator, I am passionate about keeping our children's exposure to toxins as minimal as possible. I care deeply about our environment and want to protect it for future generations.
How to get the most out of this site:
The "Bringing Baby Home" section has all of the essentials you need for the first days home with your new addition. There are diapering and bottle-feeding sample kits available that have an array of brands for you to experiment with and see what works best for you and your baby. This allows you to work with different products without having to make a huge investment and having a pantry full of unused items that just collect dust.
As your baby grows, his/her needs change. That is where the "As Your Baby Grows" section comes into play. There are complete packages available for teething, starting solids, potty training, etc.
When you receive a complete package from Hatch Baby Essentials you will also receive in-depth information on what each item is, what it is for, and how to get the best use out of each item. It's like having your best mom friend there to give you personal and practical advice.
So what about the baby gear?
The purchase of baby gear is highly personal and the choices are dependent on so many factors. In leiu of stocking these items, I have given you tips and resources on how to best evaluate your personal needs and how to make the most out of these purchases. Every home is different, every lifestyle is different, every child's needs are different, every size car (or lack thereof) is different. For instance, strollers must be "test driven" to make sure it fits your stride, is easy to store and lift, and the handlebars are tall enough. Car seats should be physically installed in your car to see if it fits before purchasing. It should also be easy to install - since the safest car seat is the one that can be installed correctly each and every time.
